Head of Sales (Food Production)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a multinational company with a core focus on food process manufacturing.

As expansion continues, our client is seeking a Head of Sales with at least 10+ years of experience within the consumer goods manufacturer and/or food production industry. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Job responsibilities:

  • Creating sales plans and strategies to achieve performance and growth targets for the whole sales team.
  • Assisting the company to build the new business opportunity.
  • Strengthen the existing business within the industrial market together with the sales team.
  • Leadership management in delivering a profitable & efficient sales force, develop capabilities & setting up KPI's goals (sales target, distributor target, visibility target).
  • Budgeting and Planning on the yearly cycle
  • Territory management to boost the growth of the respective area, competitor analysis, and route to market execution.
  • Cross-function coordination with the other stakeholders & top key leaders.
  • Develop a strong relationship with distributors.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market strategy, campaign, promotion, and pricing.
  • Coach, lead and supervise the performance of the sales team.

Job requirements:

  • S1/S2 – within the relevant major from a reputable university
  • 10+ years of working experience in the managerial level within midstream products with major segmented clients within consumer goods and/or food production are preferable.
  • Proven record in managing a sales team for B2B sales business.
  • Highly analytical, good with numbers, and exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership, able to motivate and influence the whole sales team.
  • Good knowledge in territory management, account management, distributor management & trade marketing.
  • Fluently speaking and writing English for business-related matters.
